Well it’s been a long time since I wrote a blog. I took Blog Challenge 31 Blogs in 31 Days in August of 2012 got my “Bad Ass Blogger 2012” Trophy at the end, and that was it. It was like my brain did a summer half Marathon for massage blogging, I completed the challenge, and it took me four months to recover. I felt, mentally drained. I was all blogged out. But it’s a new year, and there are lots to talk about!
Let’s get to my rant post. Most of you know I have three children. My three pregnancies were not at the level of difficulty like my friend that lives in London. Cherysse had three pregnancies and two live births. She can relate to the morning sickness that Kate Middleton is/was suffering through.
My pregnancies were hard, with exhausting growing pains, more like Kim Kardashian. Oh, I know, not the best person to reference to due to her excessive negative media exposure. BUT CAN Y’ALL CUT THE GIRL A BREAK?
I am NOT a “KIMYE” (Kim and Kanye) fan, but, the girl is a mom-to-be people. Ease up on the trashing a pregnant mom! So what she is still married to her husband, going through a divorce and is having a baby with her boyfriend. Be glad your skeletons are not on TMZ
Oh, by the way, Congratulations Kimye!!!!!
Here is what Kim K had to say about her pregnancy.
“I haven’t (had morning sickness yet). I wouldn’t say it’s been easy… but no morning sickness. When people say pregnancy is, like, fun and they love it, I would have to disagree… I think from this stage on it does become easier and funner, but, you know, it’s adjusting, and I think that so many times my sister has made it look so easy, and it’s not as easy as people think. It’s a little painful, there’s a lot of growing pains, but I heard it’s all worth it, so I’m looking forward to that.” ~ Kim Kardashian
So take Kim Kardashian or any other celebrity out of the picture, and let’s just talk about a woman who is pregnant. Any woman.
It’s okay to feel like pregnancy is not easy. I did not feel or think it was easy, at all. But I had the support of my wonderful husband. It’s okay to feel like it’s not a storybook fairytale, where you sing to your budding baby bump while rubbing cocoa butter on it every day trying to avoid stretch marks.
My point to all of this is it’s okay to feel however you want about pregnancy when you’re pregnant. Whether you are the Duchess of Cambridge, or the most talked about celebrity in the U.S.A.
Seasoned Moms need to knock it off! Stop trashing moms-to-be about how easy/hard their pregnancy is. EveryBODY is different; EveryBODY reacts differently to pregnancy.
However, EveryBODY does need a massage, whether you are pregnant or not!
